I am Jo, the eye and heart behind Aila Birth Village. For the past seven years, I’ve had the honor of standing beside families as both an emergency nurse and a birth worker. Those experiences taught me that birth is never “just a day” - it’s a threshold moment, a story you’ll carry for the rest of your life. Birth is powerful, intimate, and fleeting. In the midst of labor and delivery, so much is happening at once…moments you feel deeply but may never fully see.
